Baneh or Wild Pistachio

This product is harvested with great effort from some mountains in Iran during this season. It is picked for about 20 days and is very delicious. Many people crush it and cook it with onions and tomatoes. They also pour its juice on bread, which tastes very good; this is called Baneh juice. It is edible on its own as well. You definitely need to hike up tall mountains to pick it.
